The PetSafe Collarless Ultrasonic Dog Trainer is a rechargeable handheld device with a rated range of up to 9 m. It delivers tone or ultrasonic cues from the handset, so the dog wears no receiver collar.
Out of stock
The PetSafe Collarless Ultrasonic Dog Trainer PDT10-18215 gives you a handheld cue to use at close range. You press the button at the moment you want to redirect attention. The device itself emits the sound, so there is no receiver collar to fit.

Choose the cue and frequency
PetSafe lists an audible tone, ultrasound, and ultrasound with a flashing light. The frequency switch changes the ultrasonic sound from a fixed 25 kHz to a variable 20–30 kHz pattern. The light is also available separately as a torch. See PetSafe’s controls guide.
When to choose a collarless ultrasonic dog trainer
The rated maximum is 9 m. Work within that range and follow the manufacturer’s guidance for timing, distance and pairing cues with rewards. The device is controlled by you rather than by automatic bark detection.
For a handheld remote that sends cues to a receiver worn by the dog, compare the Basic 90 m trainer and Core 300 m trainer. Those are different systems with different operating modes.
Charging and supplied items
PetSafe lists the handheld trainer, a wrist strap and a USB-C to USB-A cable. Open the charging port cover and use the cable as directed by the manufacturer. See PetSafe’s charging steps.
Training with the handheld device
Introduce the cue in a controlled setting and follow it with a clear cue for the behaviour you want. Reward that behaviour. Read PetSafe’s collarless training guide before use.
