How the Basic Dog Trainer controls work
The remote has a separate tone button. Set the vibration and static control to level 0 to use vibration. Levels 1 to 8 are static settings. Use the model guide to identify the buttons and test the controls before fitting the collar.
The receiver responds when you use the remote. If your concern is a collar that detects barking by itself, compare the response options in Bark Control.
Fit and range
Measure where the collar will sit. PetSafe specifies a 25–55 cm neck range for this model. Check the manufacturer’s instructions for strap fit and contact points before use.

Charging the collar and remote
