The SportDOG SportTrainer 1825X (SD-1825X-E) is a handheld trainer rated up to 1,600 m. It is designed for buyers who need the longer rated range or a transmitter that can address more than three compatible receivers.

How the SportTrainer 1825X controls work

The transmitter toggle and mode setting change the functions available on its buttons. The receiver can respond with tone, vibration or static according to the chosen mode. SportDOG lists up to 21 static settings. The operating guide maps the buttons for the selected mode.

Treat 1,600 m as a rated maximum. Terrain, vegetation and transmitter position can affect usable distance. Use the mode chart when switching between a single collar and a multi-dog setup.

Exact Add-A-Dog receiver fit

SportDOG’s X-Series guide lists the SDR-AX-E Add-A-Dog receiver for the SD-1825X-E. The system includes one receiver and can support up to six dogs with additional compatible receivers and the correct mode. Check the full transmitter code on the unit before ordering.

Cradle charging and setup

The 1825X receiver uses a charging cradle. Align the receiver contact points with the cradle, then follow the indicator-light instructions in the SportDOG X-Series operating guide. The transmitter has its own charging jack. Use the guide for collar fitting and testing before use.
