Extend or reroute a compatible wired PetSafe fence with the 150 m Wire and Flag Kit (PRFA-500). The wire continues the boundary loop and the training flags mark the new line for your dog.
Out of stock
Use the PetSafe Wire and Flag Kit when you need more boundary wire for a compatible in-ground pet fence. You can change the route around the garden, extend an existing loop or replace a damaged section with suitable connections. The flags give you and your dog a visible reference while learning a new boundary.

What comes in the wire and flag kit?
The kit supplies 150 m of boundary wire and boundary training flags. It is an accessory for an existing wired system. A complete installation also needs a fence transmitter and compatible receiver collar.
PetSafe identifies the kit as model PRFA-500. See the PetSafe Extra Wire & Flags product page for the manufacturer’s wire specifications.
Compatibility and planning your route
PetSafe lists the PRFA-500 wire and flag kit in the operating guide for the Basic In-Ground Fence PIG19-16412. The kit also fits the Stubborn Dog In-Ground Fence PRF-3004WX-20. For other wired systems, check the system guide for recommended wire and the maximum supported loop length. Wireless and GPS boundaries do not use boundary wire.
Measure the actual route, including bends and the wire run to the transmitter. A square boundary measuring 25 m on each side uses 100 m of wire around the perimeter alone. Allow separately for the run to the transmitter, then compare the full route with the length of wire you have. Follow the system guide for routing, joins and testing before burying the wire. For example, a broken loop needs a sound, weather-resistant join before the transmitter can signal the boundary again.
Mark and test the new boundary
Once you have installed the wire and flag kit, test the transmitter and receiver together along the new boundary. Place flags where the receiver first warns, following your system’s instructions, and repeat boundary training for the changed route.
For a new installation, see the complete systems in In-Ground Pet Fences.
