Planning the Stubborn Dog In-Ground Fence layout

Decide which parts of the garden your dog can use and where the wire will run. Measure the route back to the transmitter, including any runs to gates, driveways or areas you want to exclude. A long, narrow boundary generally takes more wire than a square of the same area. Allow room for the wire route as well as the area the loop encloses.

Choose a dry, protected place for the transmitter near a suitable power outlet. Use the instructions for the equipment supplied with your kit. Lay out and test the boundary before burying the wire. Set aside time to fit the receiver and teach your dog where the boundary is.

Adding a second receiver

For the PetSafe Stubborn Dog In-Ground Fence, choose the extra receiver by the modes you need. The PIG19-10763 offers tone and vibration together or four adjustable static levels. The PIG19-10764 offers a tone-only mode and uses an RFA-67 battery. Check receiver fit and the battery required before buying.
